That driver’s seat tells me that the odometer is clearly very far off from 83k miles.

not necessarily. bmw leather of this period is very shitty and I would say half the e30 I see have seats that look like this. sun can do as much or more damage than miles

I dunno, the driver’s seat in my ‘08 Jeep is falling apart at 137k. I drive about 2 hours per day, and I weigh 165.

If a larger guy owned the Beemer, it might have incurred more damage over a shorter time. Or if someone was using it for deliveries or something, where they were in-and-out of the seat often.

There’s a 5-Speed ‘89 325ix for sale near me. Asking $3,800 USD, but it has 212,00 miles on it. Tempted... but not sure I can justify it.

I agree, in that the current owner doesn’t seem to know a ton about it. But overall, if what you’re after is a used and running E30, it’s not a horrible deal.
